Dear Friends,

We must send you word about our tent campaign and give you more fuel for prayer for the summer.

Tent Campaigns
As we could find no good location for the tent—we used instead a vacant room on a busy thoroughfare. The crowds were less than last year, the novelty has worn off and they seem to understand better what the “preaching of the cross” stands for. Several with whom we had contact before attended meetings and the Christians shared more in the financial burden this year.

Tachibana San
Came right out for the Lord at the meetings. It seems criticism of relatives had stumbled him before. You have prayed for him since Feb. Don’t stop now—there is much to stumble him in his new-found faith.

Tamagawa San
Had passed by the meeting room but was arrested by a tract and an invitation given to him by Lea. After a few nights of attendance he gave his heart to the Lord. Pray for him.

Miss Kudo
A sincere seeker who has since come to meetings and purchased a Bible. She does not yet fully understand—pray for her.

Saseyama San
Continue to pray for this man. He now says he is going to believe—but as yet shows no fruit.

Sekikawa San
A railway engineer, an earnest seeker.

Kuji San and his son
Continue to pray for this jeweler. His son has now joined him in the work. The above mentioned Tachibana San is employed here.
Bible Camp, Aug 12-18

This is a Bible conference attended by Christians and missionaries from this province. Most of our Christians plan on going. Pray for blessing on them during this time.

We plan on a few weeks’ holiday this month. Pray that the missionaries’ absence will be a blessing to believers in that they will be encouraged to take a bigger part in the meeting themselves.
